If you can't comment on your channel and video(s) you may have accidentally blocked yourself. To resolve this issue, sign in and go to Account > Contacts. In the "Blocked Users" section search for your name and unblock yourself.
There's probably no "Subscribe" button on your friend's channel page because your friend hasn't uploaded any videos. You can subscribe to your friend's favorite videos, however, by clicking the "Subscribe to Favorites" link in the Favorites section of the channel page.
When Mac users try to upload a large video file (e.g. 1-2 GB) through the new Flash uploader, the process might fail if the machine does not have enough free memory.
If this is the case, you will get receive the following error message "Upload failed: An unknown error occurred" after the free memory runs out.
We've heard some of you are receiving "There has been an unknown error" error message when using the Beta uploader. Thanks for your patience as we're looking into the situation.
Some users have reported probelms Quickcapture audio, or that their video is shortened after uploading with Quickcapture. We're aware of the issue and currently looking into the matter. Thanks for your patience in the meantime!
Please make sure you are using the latest version of Gears (0.5.4.2). If you are using the older version (0.5.4.1), you should be automatically prompted to update if you restart your browser - or you can manually update to the latest version of Gears by going to http://gears.google.com/
If your video status is “Live” but you receive the “Your video is unavailable” message on the watch page, try editing your video title, description, or tags. This may allow your video to play.
You attempt to watch a video and you get the error "We're sorry, this video is no longer available". Please try refreshing your browser several times, or you can try viewing this video again later.
Otherwise, a Firefox plug-in or add-in may be causing this. To determine if that's the case, try running Firefox in "Safe Mode":
From your desktop, click "Start"
Select "All Programs"
Select "Mozilla Firefox"
Select "Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)"
Try to watch a video
If you're able to watch videos in "Safe Mode," you may want to remove or disable one of your Firefox add-ons (accessible through the browser's "Tools" menu).
We're aware of the recent drop in data reports from Insight, and the engineering team's currently looking into a fix. Thanks for your patience as the team's working on this!
Please make sure all the videos in your playlist reach the end completely for them to autoplay sequentially.
Also, a playlist may skip videos if it contains private videos or videos that were removed from YouTube. You may want to consider removing unavailable content from your playlist.
If the site's not allowing you to comment on a video, it may be because you're attempting to enter HTML, a URL, or special characters. Please keep in mind that YouTube doesn't allow any of those within comments. It's also possible that you've been blocked from commenting on that video or that the user has set their comments to appear once they've approved them.
