This page outlines instructions and guidelines for submitting your video for inclusion in the YouTube Help Center.
Submission Process
- Create an original video and upload it to your YouTube account.
- Go to any page of the YouTube Help Center (like this one!) and click the "Submit" tab in the Call for Submissions widget. Alternatively, you can submit videos directly through the YouTubeHelp channel.
- We'll regularly review the submissions that come in.
- If we decide to feature your video, we'll do our best to contact you, but we can't guarantee it.
- We'll embed selected videos in our Help Center alongside relevant articles and feature them on our channel.
Submission Guidelines
- Keep the video short: 1-2 minutes is ideal.
- We recommend using a video capture tool to show specific actions on the site. Pointing a camera at a screen doesn't generally work well. If you don't have video capture software, screenshots are extremely useful.
- Use a good mic if possible, speak clearly, and test your sound.
- Consider captioning your video. This is great for users, and also makes the content of your video searchable on Google. More information about captioning.
- Be creative and have fun!
Tip: The YouTube Handbook provides helpful tips on how to produce and shoot your own video.
Remember...
- Your video must adhere to the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Do not use any trademarked logos or images or copyrighted material (such as background music).
