Subject: Re: Feedback on our Caption Editor: CaptionTube
What I saw of it was looking very good, especially when considering
it's still in testing.

However, for whatever video URL I enter when prompted, I recieve the
notice that reads to the effect of, "Please enter a valid URL for this
video. Videos cannot be imported if they are private or do not allow
embedding."

It is possible for me to import videos successfully, but when I open
the CC editor, the video refuses to buffer, making it impossible to
caption it. (it does read the correct video length of 3:26).

Any ideas as to how I can sort this and test run the application for
you? I look forward to it.

As for YouTube, when the app is improved enough to release it for all,
I'd love to suggest a few integration features to help captioners,
such as a "add caption request" button on other posters' video pages
which you've captioned (posters could be able to preview the
captioning on their video), and a link on the bottom of vid
descriptions which says "caption this video" (or "offer caption
improvements" if captions exist).

As more and more use the internet such as the hearing impaired,
elderly and non-english speakers, captions will be a huge step forward
in making media accessable again, and it's great that the captioner is
in development. YouTube should do all they can to make captioning
known to people - 'Caption Your Creation'.
