The new mobile app comes up and looks great on a Palm Treo 800w, but
when it goes to buffer a video to load, it soft crashes. It does look
good, but it can't play any videos. :(

exact same problem for me. i use a samsung sgh i600.
for clarification, i can watch videos with moving images on my mobile.
the problem only arises for 'sound' videos where there is a still
image/slideshow: so, this works on my mobile (http://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=0v3d6SFcDys) whilst this doesn't (http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=y78WOeIL52s&feature=related)
ideas on why this might happen? any help is much appreciated.
