Just wanted give everyone a heads up - we have an update for you on
the recent issue with the Subscriptions module on the Homepage.
We recently updated our subscription system to help reduce latency and
server load. There were some early bugs that we worked quickly to fix
-- for example, users who uploaded private videos (and flipped them
public later) were not getting shown in the subscription box on the
home page; this has been fixed.
One thing to note, however, about the new system is that it could take
a few minutes for videos to show up on every subscriber's home page
(worst case should be up to an hour). We are still working to shorten
this processing time for the worst-case scenarios.
Best,
- Timmy
P.S. "Current Issues" page has also been updated with this same info:
what about the fact that videos from 6 days ago, that i already
watched, keep apearing in the subscription box?? everyday freakin' day
old videos show up...

Can you help me here? I setup a new YT account...and that's it! I
never received the e-mail
notification so I can activate the account. I checked junk and spam
folders, resent the notification, checked spelling of my user name
and
pw, and even tried resending the notification to another e-mail
address. This has been going on for 7 days now. I don't know how I
could be doing something wrong because everything's so user
friendly...but DANG something's not right!
I posted this on a couple places in the community and haven't heard
anything back. I see references to "Customer Service" but can't
locate. Please help.

Hey Timmy,
Unrelated subject I know but could you tell me why,
when I post a video response from my laptop webcam, no matter how long
it is, when it is published, it is cut down to 25 seconds! Is there a
time limit on these things? Also, it is picking up loads of clicking
on the video as though it is recording my internet connection. What am
I doing wrong. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I am having the same problem... I set-up an account, and gave my e-
mail addres to send the confirmation e-mail. However, I have not
received an e-mail to respond to. I have checked Spam, etc. and no e-
mail. I have clicked the link MANY times to re-send the verification
e-mail and still no e-mail. I have tried sending it to three other e-
mail addresses, and checked THEIR spam folders. Still no confirmation
e-mail. Are we not allowed to join any more? What's up?

I want Google's phone number. The real one that actually works. Or
give me the name of a Google employee so I can through their locked

overrun with crap" approach. I'm f*cking sick and tired of wading

Sweet mother of yes. And not just from 6 days ago, but from weeks and
even months ago. The subscription is pretty useless with this bug in
place. At least give me a way to mark them as "watched" without
having to click through them. Or even let me middle-click to launch
them in another tab. ANYTHING!

TIMMY: Since April 8th, I have not been able to receive ANY NOT
RECEIVING
EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS in my email account.
Nothing was disturbed, changed or modified. Emails from any other
source works fine. Its the YOUTUBE EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS, That are not
going through.
I am not the only one from what I've seen in complaints.
What is going on? How do we fix it? Is is YOUTUBE THAT HAS TO FIX IT?
Please someone respond
Thank you

Hey Timmy, as to the person"s question below? I am having the EXACT
same issue. There is nothing in my spam or junk mail and I have no
confirmation Email from YouTube. This has been going on for several
days now. Your response to him below did not take care of the problem.
Thanks, Kim

Hello here
My subscribers are not receiving notice of my latest video - over 10
days later ... and I know that some at least have signed up to receive
weekly notice and have not lost any message to junk/spam filters. Yet
I have received notice of new videos from channels I subscribe to. I
cannot find how to contact a real person at YouTube team to find out
what the problem is. Help!
thank you

This one subscription I'm subscribed to didn't show up when they had
uploaded a new video. I had to go to there profile to see if there
were any new videos uploaded and sure enough there was a new video
that was uploaded about 7 hours ago, but it never showed up on my
subscription modules.
My video's never show up on the subscription list even after a hour
has passed. I'm am not getting the amount of views and comments that I
should. If their is any way to fix this, please let me know. Thanks in
advance.
1. why do you NEVER, i repeat NEVER address the STUPID system you have
for even GETTING HERE in the first place to lodge a post? your YT
account login should AUTOMATICALLY log you in to the forums. how many
YEARS have we users been asking???
2. WHEN oh WHEN are you going to fix the STUPID CRAP with the channel
comments??? you know the one. where you post your comment and it's
fine -- then you navigate away and come back and your comment has
DISAPPEARED (fallen down back into the edit box). you can submit all
day long. as soon as you navigate away the post disappears!! why
bother having channel comments if 90% of the time they DON'T WORK?
oh and the OTHER problem with channel comments- you get the capcha and
enter it, lose your post and have to re-type, enter the post, click
submit, then get the capcha AGAIN!!! and lose your post, enter the
capcha, re-post, hit submit, get the capcha AGAIN!!!, lose your post,
enter the capcha, click submit, enter the post AGAIN!! and click
submit, get the capcha AGAIN!!! and lose your post, enter the capcha
AGAIN!!! enter your post, click submit, lose your post and get the
capcha AGAIN!!! -- starting to get the picture??? please FIX!!
i've asked you on and off for MONTHS to do something about it.
you have the time to put up little unnecessary frills here and there
that nobody needs and that are actually helping trolls (comment
removal) yet you IGNORE basic functionality issues on the site.

There have been many problems with the "More" drop down menu lately!
Well, the latest bug is so obvious that a simple testing effort could
have easily prevented it!
If you go to Videos->Music->Jazz (or any other categories) ->More drop
down menu. The "More" menu items are being blocked by the
Advertisement box below. That makes me wonder if there is such thing
as a quality control in YT?

I just found a video that was uploaded 15 hours ago which is still not
showing on my homepage.
To make sure there aren't any more like that, I go to my subscriptions
and click on each channel. So far so good, but when I right-click on
the thumbnails to open the video in a new window, it links back to
http://www.youtube.com/my_subscriptions#. So now I must left click on
each video and then use the back button. Is this only happening to me?
Please make the thumbnails link to the video, please!
