I am real frustrated: I have exactly the error message #2 below but
CANNOT solve it! I have done EVERYTHING everybody has said I should do
but nothing has worked. Judging by the amt of ppl on the Net who have
posted on this all over, the problem is widespread. I have also
uninstalled and reinstalled my Adobe Flash Player. Would somebody pse
tell me what on earth is going wrong? After I uninstalled and
reinstalled, I was temp. able to watch videos but after that it just
shut down as usual. I also would like to contact YouTube but they have
NO form area that I can see, which they talk of. Could someone help?
Thanks in advance, Will

My youtube was working fine. A few days ago I got this message: Error
message: Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an
old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player
I have followed the instructions given. I downloaded updates on my
Flash Player and made sure my JavaScript was on. I turned it off and
on as well as I did this process several times in Internet Explorer,
Mozilla and Aol.
Where my player would be is all white. On my page and subscribers
pages.
I am very upset. All was fine. I hope someone is working on this and
will come up with a fix.

Kimbak, that is exactly the source of all the whole "We're sorry, This
video
is no longer available" message error when the videos in reality
aren't deleted, I can comfirm it because the first time that error
happened to me I couldn't see the videos on Internet Explorer but
oddly enough I could see them on FireFox 3.0, searching and searching
I came accross that someone mentioned a proxy so I added a proxy
server on the lan configuration on the conexions tab on internet
options and surprise, the video played on Internet Explorer 7, I
disable de proxy and no more video, then I made another experiment,
my
modem is a cable modem that has the router function, it gives its own
range of IPs by default the one that starts with 192.168 and all the
computers on the local network share the same public (Internet) IP,
what I did was set my modem in Access Point mode, this settings makes
my computer take the Public IP as the local network connection IP as
well instead of the 192.168 one and you know what? the videos played
without problem.
But here comes the but, days later again I got the error with the
Access Point mode still enabled, I returned to the router mode and I
could see the videos again.
So I'm sure the problem is in how Youtube is getting the connection
requests from us to see the videos, I mean how the server handles the
incomming connections though is more like a PHP error, the php code
which sends the request to the server to bring up the video must have
a flaw that since it can´t reach for the video it returns the video
is
no longer available error.
Due to changes each time a new version of the PHP extensions comes
out
there are some issues that make somethings work in certain browsers,
I
had that issue with my forum, the new PHP version was causing that
attached pictures in posts when you clicked on the thumbnails on
FireFox to see them you only got a page full of garbage in the form
of
a bunch of letters, symbols and such, but when you clicked on the
Thumbnail on Internet Explorer you got the picture in full size
correctly displayed, after investigating in some forums I came across
that the solution was a slight change on the php code that handles
that function.
There must be a similar case here, since the PHP code in charge to
request the video to the server must be getting the wrong info from
us
through certain browsers then it returns the video no longer
available
error, while on other browsers the code gets the info correctly and
therefore it can play the video.
Hi, I think I've solved the watching YouTube problem I posted on
yesterday!! Weee! This is what I did, and it only works in Firefox,
not IE (I still get that pesky error message ("install latest Flash
Player") in IE even tho I have uninstalled and installed the Flash
player several times) In Firefox, go to Tools, Options, then make sure
Block popup windows is UNchecked (mine always was) But here's the
solution, at least it worked for me: go to Exceptions, and put www.youtube.com into the Address of Website, then click Allow. After I did that I was
able to watch YouTube videos!! So check it out and I hope it solves
your problem too: I have spent HOURS AND HOURS trying to work this
out!! Chao, Will

I don't even get an error message. My videos always start to load,
but they only play 2 seconds, and nothing more. I see the rest of the
video is loaded, but it will only play 2 seconds. It's the most
frustrating thing in the world, especially because I can't track to
see how often it happens or if it's at any time in particular. It
used to be every now and then, now it's all the damn time.

It is WHY YOUR ISP (PROVIDER OF INTERNET) MAKES LOAD BALANCE WITH
SEVERAL LINKS OF INTERNET, AND YOUR IP LIKELY BE CONSTANTLY CHANGING.
SEARCH YOUR PROVIDER WITH INFORMATION ABOUT HIS CHANGE OF IP. A TEST
TO MAKE EVEN IF IT IS It ACONTENCENDO, BETWEEN DIFFERENT IN DIFFERENT
SITE TO LEARN YOUR IP, AND SEE IF Turns.
Hi, I got the same frustrating message "sorry but the video is no
longer available" but now found out what my problem was. I had Google
web accelerator installed and turned on, some weeks back there was no
problem but recently the error message in almost every video I tried
to watch. As soon as I stopped the accelerator everything works fine!
Think Google Web Accelerator does some problem with the ISPs and thus
the error.
Thank god youtube works fine again atleast for me.
I would like for youtube to give us an update on the "no longer
available" situation. Ever sine they chenged the actual video player
to the new one with new buttons at the bottom is when all this started
for me. I have done everything uninstalled reinstalled firefox,
cleared cache and cookies and still nothing now no videos will play. I
refuse to believe all this trouble is entirely caused by add-on
problems. Youtube please damn well fix it i have had enough now.

I have had the same error message SORRY THIS VIDEO IS NO LONGER
AVAILABLE on my laptop with IE 7. I have an Ipod touch and can view
all these same music videos with no problem. (ipod has no flash and
Utube works differently on it.)
I did what you said and went back to the music videos they now work
fine except it says I am viewing them in Standard. After it played I
changed it in Utube to watch it in High Quality and it still worked.
So it definitely is a problem with that even if Utube says otherwise.
Thank you so much for the fix to the problem for me!! (what does it
do to other things to change that setting though?)

Exactly the same situation I see since about a month.
Maybe Google will help?
Yesterday I paid for Google Earth and get similar problems and same
"error message"
I sent several requests to their support and called by phone and they
did not answered clearly what to do. But after about 10 hours when I
restarted entire process with downloading Google Earth by clicking on
its icon program started to show something better. I undestand they
did something (corrected). I did not like their tricki subscription
including selling unfinished programs, expensive one without ability
to cancell (3 days and taking some money for trying)
In youTube I still cannot see videos and stil have untrue indication
as you guys stated.
At least youtube is free.
Anybody can wrote how to bypass the problem inyouTube in
"administrative option"? I use MS Internet Explorer 7

Have the same.
Also yesterday after downloading and paying $ 60 for GoogleEarth.
Supports have a strange way to "answer" not answering any of your
clear questions.
Is it possible to return to "good old times"?
Do not use us as strange experimental fields.
Why some TV did not complain, but other conplain especially in
Election 2008?

In the dialog, choose Manual Proxy Configuration, then type in
dsl-cache.saix.net
Use Port 8080 and select “Use this proxy server for all protocols
DO THE ABOVE IF YOU WANT TO NOT SEE THAT ERROR - "SORRY THIS VIDEO IS
NO LONGER AVAILABLE" - courtesy of Jason on Tech leader - an url that
was given earlier in all these discussions.
It has worked for me and works on 'Flock' and on IE - with IE you have
to go to
Tools - Internet options - Connections - LAN settings - tick 'use
proxy server for your LAN - address put as dsl-cache.saix.net - port
8080

Does not work. Linux 2.6 kernel running Firefox 3.
And the reason it does not work is IMO pretty clear - refer to my
posting on the subject (thread " This video is no longer available")
posted just some minutes ago.

Please help me! Every youtube video has disappeared. I clicked the
block tab on the upper right corner of a video, and when a microsoft
window popped up, I clicked okay, assuming that this would block all
of those "subscribe" messages I had been getting.
The video disappeared from the page, and no other youtube video will
show up. The page shows the video title, and immediately below it I
see the rating and number of views (there isn't even a space where the
video used to be). Please help me, the youtube deprivation is killing
me...
