On one video, I saw a button next to the "post reply" button that said
"Audio Preview". I accidentally clicked it, and it seemed to do
nothing. Suspicious, I am now running my virus scanner, worried I may
have just caiught a virus. When revisiting the video, the "Audio
Preview" is gone.
Should I be right in worrying? I've heard YouTube is basically safe,
but I don't know.

I've seen that "audio preview" show up on perhaps a dozen videos in
the past couple of days. It sits to the left of the Post button, and
the Discard button is missing. It "seems" to give you an audio
playback of the comment you just typed, though it plays at full fast
forward, so it's unintelligible. It comes and goes. I've gone back
later to videos where I've seen it, and it's gone, and a few hours
later it shows up somewhere else. This occurence is coincidental with
the failure of the comment servlet. The monkeys are apparently at
play...

Audio Preview - another fiddling
~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-
I noticed this button as well today. It appears on ALL videos, but
ONLY on the "watch" page (since the comments are broken on the
"comments" page); it is next to the "Post" button, right under the
"Comment" box, or (only AFTER you click "Reply") under the Reply box
(when replying to a previous comment).
When clicking that button, a tiny audio noise is heard, while the
"Audio Preview" button gets wider, causing the layout change - all
this for a few seconds (much shorter than pronouncing the text), then
back normal.
I am not surprised it comes and goes - this is probably one more
Google team "fiddling" their new YouTube property.
