In our Team's continued effort to give you ultimate control over how
your videos are presented, uploaders can now tweak (modify) the
appearance of their video when played on YouTube or in an embedded
player. Just insert any of the hint tags below into the tags field of
your video when you're uploading it, and you'll be able to format the
video to the following specifications:
Tag: yt:crop=16:9
(zooms in on the 16:9 area, removes windowboxing)
Tag: yt:stretch=16:9
(fixes anamorphic content by scaling to 16:9)
Tag: yt:stretch=4:3
(fixes 720x480 content that is the wrong aspect ratio by scaling to
4:3)
Tag: yt:quality=high
(default to a high quality stream, depending on availability)
Thought this info would be useful :) Happy uploading!
This is an excellent place to post this, mon ami. I'll only add that
you can also add these tags *after* uploading. So if you have a video
you've been wishing you could tweak, these tags might be just what you
need.

Hey liz...on my Youtube channel (same name as here) I'm making videos
providing suggestions that I would like youtube to know about...like
new features and improvements to current features...I've got 4 videos
now, but many more on the way...I just ask that you check them
out...they're being viewed and rated by peoples opinion.
And feel free to subscribe, cause you already know that makes you
aware when the newest video is uploaded.

I've been trying (since they were made available) to add that tag --
"yt:crop=16:9" -- to almost all my videos uploaded before December,
since the format change left them all "window-boxed." In other words,
I had letterboxed my version to make it fit the old 4:3 ratio player,
and when the 16:9 player came along, suddenly all my videos were
swimming in a sea of black. ;)
As darthmilo77 and anmoose have both pointed out, these tags can be
added (and removed) at any time, as long as you can click the "Edit
Video" button in the Video Owner Options block.
Adding yt:crop=16:9 neatly boosts them in scale to fit the new
window.
Of course they're still in their original resolution... and the only
solution for that is to render them in better quality, using the
recently added resolutions as spelled out in the Help Center:
But as a quick fix, or in cases where the original elements have gone
missing (or you just can't be bothered to find them again) these tags
are just the thing.

I am new to YouTube and need some help. I have just uploaded my first
video and for some reason when I watch it, it does not link to other
videos that are the same. How do I link my video to similar ones so
that it will pull in someones search. How do I make it pull in the
"motorcycle' catagory?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Just make sure "Motorcycle" is in the video tags. The search engine
also looks for the word in the video description. However, it showing
up in related videos will be relatively random. It won't always link
to videos on the same topic, either, but that DOES increase the
likelihood that it will.

My channel title is a different name from the tags on both of my
uploaded videos to youtube. It was appearing on my blogger until two
days ago and now both videos are gone.
Blogger said the problem is with youtube. Unsure if my tags or channel
title have anything to do with it.
Also my webaddress does NOT show up on my youtube videos although
About you and web address is checked on my information.

Dear CircaRigel,
You are right, the showing up in related videos will be relatively
random and not always link to videos on the same topic. But, do you
have any idea if a related video which is horny that shows up on the
list when people see my video that is for education, then how can i
remove/report/make a compaint on it?
I've check my tags and the tags of the horny movie, they have nothing
in common ! I don't understand why and how they linked up !
I would appreciate it very much if you can help.

I've looked and looked and can't find the answer to this question.
When you have several tags how do you list them? Examples below:
"motorcycle" "blue" "happy"
or
motorcycle blue happy
or
motorcycle, blue, happy
or
"motorcycle blue happy"
or
"motorcycle, blue, happy"

Hi, I am not sure if the other options are possbile, but from my
experience and what I saw from the videos uploaded by others, the 2nd
option surely works: motorcycle blue happy, that is to say without any
special signs, only spaces.
