Re: Feedback on New Bigger, Better Video Player

aderack

What you really need (and honestly, you've needed this for a while) is
a ratio-change button. Click it, and it toggles amongst 16x9, 4x3, and
zoomed 16x9 modes (for hard-matted clips).

Another thing that bothers me about the newer player (meaning, the one
that has been around for a few months) is that now you can't
immediately pause a video to allow it to buffer a bit before playing.
Instead you have to wait for it to start playing, then pause. To
further the annoyance, some videos won't easily rewind to the start.
Every time you try to drag the slider to the left, it will hop to the
right several seconds and begin to play again.

Basically, the Youtube player has become a lot less usable over the
last several months, and although the new features are nice in and of
themselves, they don't fix anything.
