Yes.. Timmy and team, and I am truly sorry my original post seems so
direct, possibly negative because it is not meant as personal
criticism. Obviously everyone has put a great deal of effort into
making changes.

And users such as ourselves have not studied every permutation of the
new offereings.

For instance, I like the "recently uploaded video" announcement. That
makes perfect sense; instantly identify new content.

Great. But why change the over-all aesthetic simply to add that
option? Why not add another box. Another choice.

I know you think the multiple choice in recent activity gives us the
same thing, but it does not. It gives us a hodge-podge in a box as
opposed to separate modules which we can opt into while keeping a
clean channel design.
