Hello all,

Today, we're excited to announce our newest advertising innovation,
YouTube Sponsored Videos. Sponsored Videos is a self-serve advertising
platform that will allow you to promote your video to the audience you
are interested in reaching in an easy, effective, democratic, and
affordable way. Then, when people use YouTube to search for videos,
YouTube will display the most relevant, compelling videos alongside
the search results. These videos are clearly labeled as "sponsored
videos" and are priced on a cost-per-click basis.

For more details about Sponsored Videos, you can visit:

•  YouTube blog: http://www.youtube.com/blog?entry=geqKl0QNkkw
•  Google blog: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2008/11/promote-your-video-with-youtub...

Check out our video for more details on how Sponsored Videos works:

If you have any videos you'd like to share with the world, give
Sponsored Videos a try! It takes just a few minutes to set up, and you
can set your budget at any level you wish. Please visit http://ads.youtube.com
to start your own Sponsored Videos campaign.

Most importantly, please let us know what you think about this new
YouTube program. We're excited to hear your feedback!

Have fun,
YouTube Timmy

There should be an sms(text message) payment option because alot of
young youtube users don't have credit cards, but all have cellphones.
People should also be able to transfer all/some of their google
Adsense funds into their YouTube advertising account so they can use
their Google adsense earnings to promote their YouTube videos. Here is
how it could work>>>>>

-Person logs into their Google adsense account, clicks on "transfer
funds to a YouTube account"
-Person types in amount to transfer(no minimum or maximum amount)
-Types in their email address or a friends email address, then person
or whoever funds were sent to checks their email and clicks on a link
which takes them to YouTube where they login and the transferred funds
will be in their YouTube advertising account.

There should be no transfer fees.
The email link should expire after 72 hours and the email should also
say if the person doesn't want the funds then don't click on the link.

(Copied from my YouTube blog comment)

This sounds like a backwards version of the Partner Program... maybe
you should consider allowing people to buy channel branding options
for a small fee while you're at it.

I agree with KOH, this whole money for visibility thing is a slippery
slope. This makes it so that the people who have money and are on
YouTube can make it so that their videos appear wherever they want. I
don't like it.
